Bee & Flower
Packaging Design + Visual Identity

Bee & Flower celebrates Chinese heritage and brings local herbs into its formulas.
It allows hair care to fit naturally into daily routines, delivering nourishment over time and revealing a sense of vitality.
China’s First Liquid Haircare
Bee & Flower is a Chinese haircare brand founded in Shanghai in 1984. It was the first in China to introduce liquid shampoo and conditioner, at a time when most people still used soap to wash their hair.  Many people, including myself, first learned about it from older family members, so it gradually became a subconscious choice passed down through generations.
Honoring the Past, refreshing the Future.
I first explored ligatures and different variations of the ampersand, then became inspired by the visual language of the Chinese seal, which serves as a mark of authentication and certification, reinforcing the idea of trustworthiness as a core attribute.

Packaging Color Usage.
Inspired by Chlorophyll and Blood Cells
Chlorophyll produces energy by converting light into chemical fuel through photosynthesis, while blood cells transport nutrients and oxygen throughout the body to sustain life. These two systems inspired the use of green and red as the primary colors, representing the vitality and beauty of both humans and nature.

I developed early prototypes using clay and cardboard, then refined the form by simplifying the bottle and shifting the visual emphasis to the lid as the focal point.
